Plug the USB-A connector into a computer or charger, and the USB-C connector into an iPhone 15 or later, an iPad or an external drive with a USB-C port.
Data transfer and standard charging
To move photos, videos and backups without a long wait, the manufacturer states up to 10 Gbit/s. Charging stays standard: fast charging an iPhone requires a USB-C Power Delivery adapter and a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Smooth sheath and moulded connectors
A smooth sheath that slides into a bag without snagging and moulded connectors with a sleeve on the cable side, where the cable works hardest. Avoid bending it sharply near the connectors.
Five lengths, tie for storage
From 20 cm for a drive placed next to the computer to 2 m for a desk or bedside, with a tie that keeps the cable coiled in a bag or drawer.

Frequently asked questions
Is this cable compatible with my iPhone?
Yes, if your iPhone has a USB-C port: the USB-A to USB-C Data Transfer Cable with Smooth Sheath and Storage Tie charges iPhone 15 and later, iPads and MacBooks with a USB-C port and AirPods with a USB-C case, plugged into a charger or a standard USB-A port. For an iPhone 14 or earlier, with a Lightning port, choose a cable to Lightning.
Can I fast charge an iPhone with this cable?
No, fast charging an iPhone requires a USB-C Power Delivery adapter of 20 W or more, which a cable with a USB-A connector does not allow. The manufacturer states up to 3 A and 60 W, but these values depend on the charger and the device. This cable is mainly for data transfer.
What transfer speed can I expect?
The manufacturer states up to 10 Gbit/s (USB 3.2). The actual speed depends on the device and the port the cable is connected to: a USB 2.0 port stays limited to 480 Mbit/s.
Is this cable suitable for an iPhone with a Lightning port?
No, the output connector is a USB-C, found on iPhones since the iPhone 15 and on iPads and MacBooks with a USB-C port. For a model with a Lightning port, you need a USB-A to Lightning cable.
Can I connect a hard drive or SSD with this cable?
Yes, if the drive has a USB-C port: the USB-A connector plugs into the computer. The manufacturer intends it for external hard drives and SSDs.
Which lengths are available?
Five lengths: 20 cm, 50 cm, 1 m, 1.5 m and 2 m. The length is chosen on the product page, before adding to the basket.
What is the grey tie on the cable for?
It keeps the cable coiled when you store it in a bag or drawer, to stop it tangling.
Are the connectors and sheath durable?
The sheath is smooth and the connectors are moulded, with a sleeve on the cable side. To preserve them, unplug by holding the connector and avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors.
How do I care for the cable?
Wipe the sheath with a soft cloth, dry or barely damp, without any abrasive product. Store it coiled without pulling it tight, with its tie.
