01

USB-A on one end, USB-C on the other

Plug an iPhone, iPad or MacBook with a USB-C port into the USB-A socket of a mains charger, a computer or a car, with no adapter: the cable connects the two ports directly.

02

Everyday charging and USB 2.0 data

A USB-A charger is enough for everyday charging, with a stated current of up to 5 A. The stated data rate is 480 Mbit/s (USB 2.0), enough for photos and light backups.

03

Braided nylon and coloured aluminium rings

The braided nylon limits tangles and withstands everyday bending. A curved moulded sleeve follows the curve of the cable near each connector, where the sheath works hardest.

04

Four lengths, from 50 cm to 3 m

The 50 cm goes with a power bank, the 1 m suits the desk or the car, the 2 m reaches the bedside and the 3 m a socket far from the sofa, without pulling on the device.

Frequently asked questions

Is this cable compatible with my iPhone?

Yes, if your iPhone has a USB-C port: the USB-A to USB-C Braided Nylon Cable with Aluminium Rings and Curved Sleeves charges iPhone 15 and later, iPads and MacBooks with a USB-C port and AirPods with a USB-C case, plugged into a standard USB-A charger or port. For an iPhone 14 or earlier, which has a Lightning port, choose a cable to Lightning.

Is this cable suitable for an iPhone with a Lightning port?

No, the device end is USB-C: it does not plug into an iPhone with a Lightning port, that is the iPhone 14 and older models. You need a USB-A to Lightning cable.

Does this cable support fast charging for an iPhone?

No, not fast charging: the USB-A end does not allow an iPhone to fast charge, which requires a USB-C Power Delivery adapter of 20 W or more with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Charging is still possible, at standard speed.

Which length should I choose?

Four lengths are available: 50 cm, 1 m, 2 m and 3 m. The 50 cm goes with a power bank, the 1 m suits the desk or the car, and the 2 m and 3 m reach a socket far from the bed or the sofa.

What charging power is stated?

A maximum current of 5 A is stated. The power actually delivered depends on the charger and the device connected: a typical USB-A charger remains limited.

Does this cable also transfer data?

Yes, at the stated rate of 480 Mbit/s, that of USB 2.0. That is enough for photos or documents, but slower for large files.

Does the braided nylon withstand repeated bending?

Yes, braided nylon is designed for everyday flexing. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors or pulling on the sheath to unplug it.

Are the coloured rings made of metal?

Yes, the ring on each connector is stated to be aluminium alloy, a material that limits oxidation. A moulded sleeve then joins the ring to the braid.

How do I care for this cable?

Wipe the sheath with a dry or barely damp cloth, with the cable unplugged, without harsh products. Unplug by holding the connector, never by pulling on the cable.

Which colours are available?

Three colours: Anthracite Grey, Blue and Red. The metal ring on each connector matches the colour.
