A black tab is included: slide it between the iPhone and its case, through the charging port opening, then clip the gold carabiners onto it. A case fitted with eyelets also lets you attach the carabiners directly.
Do I need a case to use it?
Yes, the tab is held between the iPhone and its case: without a case, nothing holds it in place. A clear or opaque case works, as long as the tab can pass through the charging port opening.
Can the length be adjusted?
Yes, a black slider on the strap lets you shorten or lengthen it, depending on whether you wear the iPhone around the neck or crossbody.
Can it be worn both crossbody and around the neck?
Yes, the strap is long and adjustable: around the neck, the iPhone stays in front of the chest; across the body, it hangs at hip height.
Does the strap support the weight of an iPhone?

How do I care for the strap?
