Is this accessory compatible with my AirTag?
Yes, the AirTag Waterproof Round Plastic Case with Screw-On Lid and Adhesive Mount is designed for Apple's AirTag, which sits in a recess made to its size. The AirTag is not included.
Is the AirTag supplied with the case?
No, the AirTag must be bought separately. The product includes only the case, or four cases in the pack of four.
How do I fit the AirTag?
Unscrew the lid, place the AirTag in the base, then screw the lid back on until fully closed, without forcing it.
How do I remove the AirTag or change its battery?
Unscrew the lid, take out the AirTag, open its cover by turning it, replace the coin battery, then close it again before putting it back in the case.
How do I attach the case?
Peel the film off the adhesive on the back, then press firmly onto a clean, dry, flat surface. The manufacturer says the adhesive can be removed by heating it with a hairdryer.
What surfaces can it be stuck to?
The manufacturer mentions skis, trailers, tools, bikes, suitcases and camera cases, among others. A smooth, flat surface holds better than a rough or curved one.
Is the case waterproof?
Yes, the manufacturer advertises it as waterproof (IP68). As a precaution, screw the lid on fully and avoid prolonged immersion.
What are the dimensions of the case?
About 39 mm in diameter by 14 mm thick, according to the measurements shown in the manufacturer's photos.
What is in the pack of four?
Four identical black cases, each with its own adhesive. The AirTags are not included.
How do I look after the case?
A damp cloth is enough. Rinse with clean water if sand or mud has collected, and dry the base before putting the AirTag back.
