Is this accessory compatible with my AirTag?
Yes, the Seatpost AirTag Bike Mount with Hidden Rear Reflector is designed for Apple's AirTag, which sits in a housing made to its size. The AirTag is not included.
How do I fit the AirTag in the mount?
From the photos, the AirTag sits in the black circular tray, then the lens goes in front and closes the assembly. The clamp is then tightened around the seatpost.
How do I change the AirTag's battery?
Remove the lens, take the AirTag out of its housing, then open it as usual to replace the CR2032 battery. The clamp can stay in place on the seatpost.
Which bikes does it fit?
It fits the seatpost of a road bike or mountain bike. The seatpost diameter it accepts is not stated: measure your seatpost before ordering.
Does the reflector light up at night?
No, from the photos it is a reflector, which sends back the light of headlights with no light source of its own. It therefore does not replace a rear light.
Does it withstand rain?
No waterproofing is advertised for this model. As a precaution, avoid immersion and jet washing, and wipe the case after a ride in the rain.
Could the clamp damage the seatpost?
The clamp tightens with two screws: tighten them gradually and not too hard, especially on a carbon seatpost. Moderate tightening is enough to hold it in place.
Is the AirTag supplied with the mount?
No, the mount is sold without an AirTag. You will need to have your own ready before fitting it.
Which lens colours are available?
Two colours: a red lens and an orange lens. In both cases, the clamp and the tray stay black.
