Is this accessory compatible with my AirTag?
Yes, the Plastic AirTag Bike Mount for Bottle Cage with Anti-Theft Screws is designed for Apple's AirTag, which fits in the slot made to its size. The AirTag is not included.
What is in the package?
The two-part housing, two anti-theft screws and their special key. The AirTag is not included.
How do I fit the mount on the bike?
Place the AirTag in the lower part, close it with the second piece, then screw the assembly onto the bottle cage mounting holes using the screws and key supplied. The bottle cage is then fitted over it.
Can the mount be removed with an ordinary tool?
No, the screws have a special head: only the key supplied unscrews them, which makes removal by a third party harder. Keep it to change the AirTag's battery.
How do I change the AirTag's battery?
Unscrew the two screws with the key supplied, open the housing, take out the AirTag and change its battery following the AirTag's instructions. Then put the AirTag back, close the housing and screw it back together.
Does the mount resist rain?
The housing screws around the AirTag, but no waterproofing is stated. As a precaution, wipe it after a ride in the rain and avoid immersion.
Does it fit all bikes?
No, it suits bikes whose frame has the two mounting holes for a bottle cage. Check for them before ordering, as without them the mount cannot be fixed.
Does it get in the way of fitting the bottle cage?
No, the housing is fixed behind the bottle cage without preventing its installation.
Is the mount discreet?
Yes, it is small, black and matte, and sits behind the bottle cage: it easily goes unnoticed on the frame.
