Does the iPhone get hotter on this mount?

No, the mount does not charge the iPhone and adds no heat. Placed in front of a vent, though, it receives the heater's air: point the slat elsewhere if the flow is hot.

How do I remove the mount from the vent?

It comes off by unhooking the hook from the slat, with no tools and no glue on the car. Only the adhesive metal ring stays stuck to the back of the iPhone or the case.
